Our mission is simple: we want to put the passion, enjoyment and excitement back into English education.
Every encounter with English should be an irresistible invitation to learn.Β
Children deserve a lifelong love of literacy, to be cultivated into confident communicators and to be taught through innovative and creative approaches to writing, reading and speaking.
Teachers, educators and leaders deserve to enjoy the teaching of English, be confident children learn and make progress in their settings, trust in their curriculum and pedagogy, be certain that they can be creative and innovative without compromising results.

My Story
My Story
I have been teaching and leading primary school English for 15 years, working as a writing moderator, leading and coaching staff, guiding pupils through SATs and even supporting pupils on their English journeys into secondary education.
I believe that all children have the right to a phenomenal English education. For me, this means excitement, creativity and inspiration in and out of the classroom. Children need to want to write and read, and be able to speak, and it's our responsibility as educators to make this happen.
I've founded We Are Writers and Readers with this very goal: to ensure that schools and other settings can inspire a love for English all while meeting the demands of the curriculum, OFSTED, parents and the DfE.
